Please save your hate mail. I love children, and I really love babies. However, not yet being a parent, and having no prior experience shooting infants, I had no clue on how to interact with a newborn, to achieve a great portrait. Lucky for me, some close friends of mine who were expecting, asked me a few months ago if I would be interested in shotting their new born, as with most photo projects presented to me, I agreed !

I had my first opportunity to shoot the beautiful little boy, when he was 10 days old ! Wow, he was adorable. I quickly learned that he wasn’t a fan of my flash, despited me turning it down to 1/64th power . Even though my flash got the little guy upset, I was happy with what I was able to capture.  I have a few ideas of how to make the next shoot more pleasant for the little man. Check back for more baby photos, over the next few weeks.
